We specialize in the smoke colours.
A smoke is a solid coloured cat with a white root on every hair.
Show smokes are produced here by mating smoked cats with tabby (striped) patterned cats that carry the solid gene.
This means the average litter is likely
to include tabbies, solids, silvers (white rooted tabbies) and smokes.
Each breeding in the Wasychigan cattery is planned with this objective:
The production of a high quality TICA type (feral) smoke show/companion cat,
and that necessarily includes his or her complement of other patterned cats.

Skipper went to her first cat show as an
Open female. She went Best of Breed
over established Grand Champion Maine Coons.
She went on to final as the overall 9th Best Cat over many
Grand Champions and national award-winning cats of all breeds present at the
show. She is a very large, luxuriously
coated, high carriage plume-tailed, lynx tipped, extroverted and friendly
family pet. She comes from strong, healthy, cardiac-sound stock.
She is, in a word, quality.
